Crabbia
About
Crabbia is a small village consisting of a cluster of old, masterly restored buildings. Some of them stand out for their aristocratic look, others for their rural simplicity.
The patron saint of Pettenasco is Saint Martino as can be quickly guessed by the huge painting on a wall at the gateway of the hamlet portraying Saint Martino on horseback.
To the saint is dedicated the oratory of the village, a small aiseless church adorned with an elegant arcade.
Inside a canvas portraying St. Ann is used as altar-piece. Crabbia celebrates St. Ann in summer while in autumn during the Saint Martino's day it is custom to bless some breas and to give it to all the families.
